Interactive videoconferencing resources

Videoconferencing technology adds interaction to distance learning, teaching and cross-site collaboration that is not possible with telephone or email alone. Though it is a ‘real-time’ medium, it differs from face-to-face meetings in that it requires more active participation from teachers and learners. Videoconferencing is an effective teaching environment but requires planning for educational sessions and meetings to be an engaging experience.

These help sheets and resources are designed to help:

  • teachers engage more effectively with off-site students,
  • students get the most out of videoconferenced educational sessions,
  • staff collaborate more productively across sites.
